Panasonic Next Generation Talent 2009

The challenge was to create a TV ad to promote the benefits of the new Panasonic G10 Viera. My film promotes an improvement of quality in Panasonic equipment, representing how products have developed and upgraded over the past forty years. It illustrates how Panasonic TVs have improved in screen definition and as an overall package. To demonstrate the change in definition from old to new I decided to create the film in the style of an eye exam, as if looking through a phoropter.

With a mixture of stop frame animation and film I've used the mechanical movement of the phoropter's lens change to transition the clips. Together the footage expresses an enhancement in home entertainment and promotes the new Panasonic Viera NEOPDP not just as a television but as a complete HD home hub.
